I suck at telling stories, so I won't make any pretense. These are just the facts, and just think of how awesome the story is.

So I was at the restaurant late tonight (11:30). It was just me and three waitresses. One of them (I don't remember her name) told this story. She moved to Virginia 4 months ago. One night 3 weeks ago, she was at a bar and got really drunk. I don't remember why, but she decided to drive back to her apartment. She was so drunk she was actually rollin gdown the window at every stoplight to vomit. She miraculously made it home.
When she got back to her apartment, she made a hot pocket and went out to sit on her balcony. She heard someone saying softly, "here buddy, c'mere." It was a guy in the apartment below her beckoning to her cat. They talked, and she invited him up for a hot pocket. They sat on the balcony, eating hot pockets and throwing up (both drunk). He looked really young, said he was 21.
For some reason, they wound up sleeping together.
Later, she found out that he 1) had a broken leg (really drunk, remember), and 2) was actually 18. He stalked her for 3 days.

Now, he and his dad call her "Hot Pocket".

She learned her lesson, so the next guy she dated was 46.

    work
Guuhhhhhhhh. I just spent 6 hours in a hot kitchen, spilling various semi-nasty liquids on myself. Guess how many times I sat down? C'mon, guess. ONCE. But it pays 10 bucks an hour! Woo.

    JOB!
I've talked about it a lot, but now it finally happens-- I got a job! I am gonna work washing dishes at Restaurant Vero on Lee Highway from 4 to 10, Tuesday to Saturday. For $10 an hour, which is actually really good for washing dishes.

So that means I can only do stuff on Sunday or Monday, or before 4 o'clock on other days.

OH! I forgot to tell, I finished behind-the-wheel, so now I FINALLY am able to drive! yes!! I went to the Best Buy at Bailey's Crossroads, bu they didb't have the Venture Bros DVD :( so I got a 5th Element DVD instead.

Guh. I apologize in advance for an emo post.

I'm feeling sad and lonely. talk to me, IM me. Play gravel with me, watch movies with me. I feel that I should just suck it up, but I also know that my friends would want to help if I'm feeling down; I know I would try to do the same.

You know what? That hardly qualifies as emo.

I'm anticipating nobody's gonna read this or care.

Man, I don't know what I even want.

best to just ignore me anyways

Hey everybody! So, who else is actually at home right now (i.e. not away on vacation)? It was pouring rain beautifully yesterday, and I walked around in it. I wanted to dance in the rain, but it just would have been no fu without friends there. La la la. by the way, Kendall, if you didn't read my comment, you should know that Ringo only deals in the bending business and has nothing to do with burning. I hear his cousin opened up a branch in Wuhan last year, maybe you should check it out! Heck, you might as well shell out a few extra bucks for an Acute angle. Ciao!

Grad Speech Pool Results- Allison Wins!
Okay! The quickly-thrown-together pool for betting on the graduation speakers! The results were much lower than any of us anticipated. Throughout the whole graduation, there were 2 or 3 "leaders of tomorrow", 3 "future"s, and NO "9/11"s.
The winner is Allison! She guessed the closest, with 4, 8, and 0. Sean (Ryan's brother) and I got close, with 3, 12, 0 and 3, 9, 2, respectively. Allison wins 14 dollars (in theory) from me, Ryan, Rory, Sean, Morgan, Hunter, and Yidan. That's 2 bucks each.

Also, we need to plan to do something fun together! maybe an ultimate movie night. I want to see tremors and/or tank girl. If we can build a theme around that, great!

    Environmental Science Club election results:
    Simon and Kyle as Co-Presidents
    Anise as Treasurer, or secretary.
Some Guy as Secretary, or maybe treasurer

    and as an afterthought:
A Girl Whom I Swear I Have Never Seen Before as historian, or whatever.

    Planeteer Boot Camp
The Environmental Science Club J-Day booth was a success! Even though it was up on the practive field, lots of people still went to Planeteer Boot Camp-- and our drink-selling went great too. That spot under the trees right at the top of the stairs is prime real estate. I hope next year's ESC will do the planeteer boot camp again. Anybody have suggestions to make it better?

I'm usually not one to write long, detailed, interesting livejournal posts.....

and I'm not going to start now! Since I'm the first moonbuggy engineer to post, I'll just jot down some main points. We left for Huntsville, Alabama on Wednesday and arrived Thursday. We were feverishly working on our buggy (which we still have to name-- comments, anybody?) up to the very minute that we were to compete.
Alas, the mighthy craft still had major flaws, so we opted to wait until the second round of races to actually race our buggy, and just do the part where Kendall and Anita have to disassenble the buggy, carry it 20 feet, and reassemble it. We got a pathetic time of around 2 minutes 40 seconds. Keep in mind that that was the first time they had ever done it-- no practise runs for us!
Unfortunately, there was a ToRnAdO WaRnInG and thus the second round of runs was CANCELLED. Oh noes! Our chance to go was gone. Luckily, we remained in hig spirits for the rest of the day anyways and had a lot of fun watching TV and exploring and taking pictures. A few of us learned that we have exiting futures as adult film stars.
Got back home at 8:30 today. Katie is leaving tomorrow to go look at colleges for the REST OF SPRING BREAK. :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

Check out Jeff's (and maybe Anita's) LJ at some point for pictures!

    bye, y'all!

I'm not dead! I just had an appointment in the middle of the day that kind of made going in the morning unnecessary and going back to school in the afternoon (for geosystems and TA) pointless.

I am now one of those tortured souls who dwell in the collegiate limbo known as the WAIT LIST. At William & Mary.

Got a cab back to school from my doctor appointment around 5:30 to go to the dress rehearsal. Found out: no dress rehearsal, and the cab had already left. oops. Oh well, a lot of good came from it. Helped do some tech-related stuff with Allie and the few techs who were there. We put carpet on the bottoms of the walls-- they'll be quiet now!

Then, went to Szechuan Palace with all six of the remaining people crammed into Kevin Brown's car. Got lots of food, but hungry hungry Allie left before it came, so there was a helluva lot left over. Kevin totally missed his cup while pouring tea. I knocked the hot metal plate for the "beef on a stick" onto the table, burning a hole through the tablecloth. We discreetly put the bottle of soy sauce over it. Kevin later spilled his water all over the table. I learned Natalia's name (she's a freshman). The waitress kept on asking us about TJ; her son is in 8th grade and made the first cut. She also asked us (especially me, the only senior) about colleges. She was one of THOSE moms, who plan their kid's whole future before they're out of grade school.

A really pleasant time, actually. I am really happy now.

    Happy. Actually content and happy.

    Tech la la laaaa!
Tech was awesome! Goofing around during rehearsal (while not painting the walls). Did some good, [relatively] hard work.

Got a ride home from Dan Chavez. As usual, whenever we are in a car together we get thoroughly lost. But not to worry! A minute from my house, "So Happy Together" by The Turtles came on the radio (You know, "you and me, and me and you, no matter how they roll the dice, blah blah blah blah....") Dan CRANKED UP the volume, and we SHOUTED the song at the top of our lungs. Heck, I didn't even know half the words.

    :) :) :) :D :D :D :D

Also, no homework! And I have no overdue papers! Happy days!

Arg. The overdue fines for those CDs I got from the library a month ago (plus some other stuff) came out to be eighteen dollars.
